Given the weather, there was a limit to the sight-seeing we could do. The Duomo – cathedral – was impressive in its detail, and we saw an artist painting it on canvas.
The streets and small squares surrounding the Duomo seemed stuck in a different era. And in those surroundings, people in fashionable costumes carrying colorful umbrellas looked incongruous.
